Retroist Silent Running Podcast

On this week’s show I talk about the 1972 Sci-Fi classic, Silent Running. I start off by talking about how I miss the act of discovery and randomness with how I used to consume entertainment. Then I move on to the film and talk about the people who wrote it, the studio’s attempt at semi-independent films, the cast with special focus on Bruce Dern, the characters, the music, the FX and more.

Vic Sage is back with this week with another great “Why Should I Know this Person.” This Week Vic talks about the director of Silent Running, special effect maestro, Douglas Trumbull.

Music on the show was provided by Peachy (the P.D.Q. Bach of Wales)
