I like a mystery. Were the cards you were looking for part of the Jets, Rockets, Spacemen Series?

No.... they were more 70's looking. (They came out in '78 or '80.) Like a European comic with the faded, pastel colours and such. The alien troops had featureless helmets; hemispherical, olive green. (I remember a standee with two of them hunched behind a rock or a tree....) The cards had an order and told the story. At one point the humans build some sort of dimensional transport device. I remember 'cos one of the cutout models was that device: a computer screen lookin' thing. They came on the back of some snack-cake products. I THOUGHT it might have been Voortman who put it out, but I wrote to them and they had no recollection of such a set. I only vaguely remember them, but I remember a lot of excitement to complete the set when I was a kid.

....and if you like mysteries; how well do you know colouring books?

I own some books, not a ton, but I am intrigued.

Spent a good hour last night trying to find these cards or a hint at what they might be. They have been added to my ever-growing list of things to look out for.

Very kind. Those cards have bothered me for a long time. And I don't want to hijack the thread, but if you're looking for a colouring book related mystery I can supply one. (Here or on my private e-mail.)
