The Guardians Angels had a Comic Book?
Back when I was a young teenager, I and my friend decided to have an exciting day in Manhattan. We hopped on the subway, ready for a fun adventure. But little did we know, this ordinary ride would turn into a nerve-wracking experience.
As soon as the subway left the station, a guy sitting across from us suddenly stood up and started screaming loudly. It was scary, and his words made no sense. What frightened us even more was that he kept getting closer to us.
I was about to jump out of my seat and escape to the other end of the subway car when something unexpected happened. The door to the next car opened, and two young men appeared, wearing unusual outfits with berets on their heads. These guys immediately caught the screaming man's attention, and we felt an enormous sense of relief.
These mysterious young men weren't content with just diverting the guy's focus away from us. They seemed to take it upon themselves to make sure he didn't come back to bother us. They stood close to him, almost like a protective barrier between us and the screaming man.
When the subway finally stopped at the next station, we quickly got out, leaving that scary incident behind us. But looking back, I realized I never got the chance to thank those unexpected saviors for their brave actions.
I never knew if there was a comic book about these Guardian Angels, but if I had known, I might have picked it up. It would have been a nice reminder over the years of those subway heroes who made us feel safer during that intense moment. Even though the man probably wasn't going to attack us, it was comforting to know that in a frightening situation like that, there were people willing to step up and ensure our safety.
The memory of those Guardian Angels still stays with me, and I often think about how their presence made a difference in that challenging situation. It taught me that there are good-hearted people out there, willing to help and show compassion when you least expect it. It's a memory I'll cherish, and it reminds me of the importance of looking out for one another in times of uncertainty.
