My Father who worked on the original Bellboy paging receiver at Bell Labs in North Andover, MA, gave a prototype to me before he passed away at age 104. I have a photo of it but cannot download it to this text message. I would like it to find a good home, preferably in an appropriate museum collection.
I am sure a few museums are out there who would appreciate it. It would fit in nicely with the stuff they have at the Connections Museum which specializes in telecommunication history.
At your suggestion, I sent an inquiry to the Seattle location figuring that they might have some knowledge of the rollout of the Bellboy II at the Seattle World's Fair in 1963

I would love to see a photo of it, just to see it. If you wanted to send, I am at retroist@retroist.com

I hope something happens, I would love to see it on display someday.
Cool article (especially the Leonard Nimoy pager commercial!) 🖖
It's great to get a Bellboy beep from the office while I'm sailing around Cincinnati, but where do I find a payphone on the Ohio River?
