The connection between this helmet and Spock may appear mysterious at first glance. Indeed, it's clear that this helmet won't be a snug fit for my rather sizable head. Nevertheless, let me share my exhilarating news—I have a Star Trek Helmet making its way to me in the mail. This marks a pivotal moment in my life; I am finally becoming somebody!

Yes, I will soon be the proud owner of a bona fide Star Trek Helmet!

In the annals of my youth, there was an older kid residing on my block who happened to be a towering Star Trek enthusiast. His treasure trove of Star Trek paraphernalia was the stuff of legends, and within that collection lay the enigmatic helmet. Despite the considerable age gap between us, he graciously allowed me to peruse and partake in the wonders of his collection. However, one prized possession remained tantalizingly off-limits—the Star Trek Helmet. It resided majestically on a shelf, nestled next to its original box.

Reflecting on those bygone days, I've come to realize that the disparity in our ages never factored into our shared Star Trek fervor. Perhaps the magic of Star Trek fandom knows no age boundaries. Besides, I was the solitary Star Trek enthusiast within a multiblock radius. It brings a smile to my face when I think of that young man, on the cusp of high school graduation, gallantly exploring imaginary planets with a wide-eyed kid who had just ventured into elementary school.

Recently, my sister conveyed the somber news that this remarkable individual had passed away. It saddened me to think that someone brimming with such a vivid imagination is no longer among us. Nevertheless, I shall forever treasure the memories of the captivating adventures I embarked upon with the Captain of the Starship New Jersey.

In the wise words of an anonymous sage, "He's not truly gone. As long as we remember him."

Remember when Mickey Mouse decided to commit suicide?
Unless you lived in the 1930s or are a fan of vintage comic strips you might not be aware of the attempted Mickey Mouse suicide.
