Still have mine. Always liked the movie so I've always enjoyed playing it. Managed to get my kids to play it on family game night. They were not fans.

Saw one of those in the charity shop but walked by - it was full of worms.

I've always confused this one with the Avalon Hill board game. It's neat to see someone cover it. It's often overlooked in the shadow of the other game.

Used to pair this with the Krull board game for an evening’s pleasures.

Anytime a game features D8s or any other non-D6 dice, you can pretty rule out "Casual Fun" from the game's description.

I appreciate this article. Never heard of or saw the Dune game or figures either back in the day. I like the toys story advert. It’s a shame Lynch didn’t get final cut or the chance the make the sequel as it’s a fine film. I thought I was a Dune fan for so long, but after seeing the new movies, which are well done, I realized I loved the Lynch version!

I loved the movie so much, but never saw that game. I mean, Parker Bros. games were heavily marketed in Canada, and we had plenty, but I don't remember this board game.

I have a copy of the Dune Board Game in my collection, never played it, but I’ve heard it’s weird. It’s like trying to get players for Godsfire.

There was also briefly a Dune CCG in the late 1990s. A fellow came back from GenCon with a copy and I played a few games at the hobby gaming store with him. We kept cracking Dune movie lines and annoying the other gamers in the store for a couple of hours. It was fun, and the card game was well designed and well made, I recall, but I have never seen it since.
