The eternal debate between Burger King and McDonald's continues to divide burger enthusiasts, particularly when it comes to the battle of the fries. While I genuinely enjoyed the burgers at Burger King, there was always one crucial aspect that seemed to elude them—the flavor and consistency of their french fries. This sentiment was echoed by every member of my family during my upbringing, becoming the primary reason we would trek the extra distance to the Golden Arches, despite the closer proximity of our local Burger King. We simply couldn't develop a fondness for Burger King's fries.

Nonetheless, this did not deter Burger King from attempting to improve their fries and promoting them through various advertising campaigns. The commercial in question serves as just one example of the numerous efforts made by Burger King to revamp their fry game. I must confess, I was rather gullible, or perhaps just incredibly hopeful that each new campaign would finally deliver the fries that would astound both me and my family. With each new wave of advertising, I entered the restaurant with a sense of anticipation, desperately hoping that the new fries would finally knock our socks off. Regrettably, that moment of fry-induced bliss never materialized.

Even to this day, my preference for fries leans heavily towards McDonald's. While I acknowledge that McDonald's fries may not be what they once were, those mind-blowingly addictive morsels of golden perfection—they still reign superior to the offerings I have picked up from the King. There's an undeniable allure to the taste, texture, and unmistakable aroma of McDonald's fries that keeps me coming back for more, despite my willingness to explore other fast-food options.

It's worth noting that taste preferences can be highly subjective, and individual experiences may vary. While my personal affinity for McDonald's fries remains unwavering, others may have different opinions and find their ultimate fry nirvana elsewhere. Burger King's continuous efforts to enhance their fries demonstrate their commitment to satisfying their customers' demands and elevating their overall dining experience. Despite my own unyielding loyalty to McDonald's fries, I commend Burger King for their perseverance in striving to create a fry that could rival their fast-food counterpart.

Watch this classic commercial for Burger King Fries

Burger King Fries aside, a lot to enjoy in this commercial. I especially love those classic uniforms!

Remember when Mickey Mouse decided to commit suicide?
Unless you lived in the 1930s or are a fan of vintage comic strips you might not be aware of the attempted Mickey Mouse suicide.
