I have received several emails and instant messages from people asking why I have not released a new podcast this holiday season. I had planned to release a few episodes this month; I even recorded the audio for one early in the month. Unfortunately, an event occurred that has consumed my time and dulled my ability to produce the show.
I’ve been listening to the Retroist for many years and never knew about this until now. It’s been many years now so I hope you don’t mind me bringing up what would have been a tough period of your life. Just know the intros are my favourite part of your show and the ones where you mention your mother are always memorable. No doubt she was a very special person and I’m sorry to hear she passed.
Not a day goes by when I don't think about her. One thing I miss in relation to the podcast is our discussions after I would release an episode. It would open her memories and she would tell me stories I hadn't heard in a long time. She was a great mother and just a nice person to be around.
