While I've never had the pleasure of getting my hands on Gloppy, Kenner's answer to Play-Doh, I've always been captivated by its packaging whenever I've stumbled upon it at flea markets. In this upload by toyranch, you can catch a glimpse of what a well-preserved Gloppy package and the Gloppy itself looks like.

Sadly, the ones I've encountered for sale are usually in less-than-ideal condition.

Gloppy had a relatively short lifespan, primarily enjoying sales due to its appealing packaging. I mean, why go for Play-Doh when you could have something similar, conveniently molded into the shape of Fred Flintstone? This novelty, however, proved to be short-lived, and Gloppy eventually faded away. But not before they tried to capture the market with a spooky-themed glow-in-the-dark version known as Glow Globs.

Does anyone have memories of Gloppy or Glow Globs? What was the consistency like? Was it very close to Play-Doh?

Remember when Mickey Mouse decided to commit suicide?
Unless you lived in the 1930s or are a fan of vintage comic strips you might not be aware of the attempted Mickey Mouse suicide.
