The "🎵 Hello, Taco Bell 🎵" signoff at the end of the Mexican Pizza commercial feels strange and a little silly these many years later!

I remember the ads on TV for Taco Bell but we didn't have them in Canada back then (I'm in a border area, got Seattle TV/radio), but we did have Pizza Hut! I remember McDonald's pizzas - they were not good.

The small pizzerias were totally wiped out by the chains in the 80s, but now the "boutique" pizzerias have had a resurgence.

Excellent article, thank you!

We were lucky they didn't kill off the small pizza places in NJ. Despite all being independent, they all made just about the same type of pizza with a few variations. Have you had a mustard pizza ever?

I have enjoyed the spread of new small pizza places and the variety they are bringing to the pizza world.

Mustard? Never. But I had Hawaiian (pineapple) in the 70s, like it was no big thing.😁

We have more indie pizzerias now than ever.
