I loved the Chocolate Koogle and was always singing the jingle about the "Koogley eyes." I'm guessing my mother stopped buying it because of the nutritional concerns. Between Koogle and Pillsbury Space Sticks, I had all the food I wanted as a 5 year old.
I totally remember Koogle advertised in Canada, especially the jingle. My mom would not buy it for us to the utter disgust of my younger brother and I.
Actually I was hoping you all would inform that the popular ol'school peanut butter had returned and where we could purchase them to relive our childhood 50 years ago. My favorite was vanilla, plus,I remembered they sometimes came with stickers that emit the flavors after you scratched them. Great memories as a 9 year old. If it should materialize in today's times like Count Chocula,Frankenberry, and Boo Berry Cereals had,by all means give us an alert
I remember Koogle, but never got to try it. My parents believed it to be far too pricey (ironic now to think a jar of gimmicked peanut butter at 59¢ to 75¢ was considered expensive).
The voice of the Koogle monster has never been firmly established, but does bear a passing resemblance to the late, great Wolfman Jack. The only thing I remember from the commercials was the monster sharing the product with a young boy, espousing the deliciousness of the four flavors, but then exclaiming "...But Chocolate Koogle? Shabob zed wow!" as he and the lad do a joyful four-kick dance.
A few companies now have a chocolate peanut butter product on the shelves which is, on the whole, addictively tasty, but probably nowhere near the sugary concoction of half a century ago.

Space Stick + Koogle = A perfect breakfast.
