That green set in the lower left of the tray photo is a beautiful set. Pic makes me want to reach into it and grab a pair to roll. Great memories article.

Thanks, I haven't been able to decide how to ink them. They just look so pretty when plain.

I loved reading about your dice, and wanted to reach into the photos to pick them up! (To roll, not keep, you understand.)

Also, I hadn't realised the link between rounded edges and groove paint before.

Thanks! As someone who often just browses dice photos on my phone, I understand completely.

Still a great method. Almost foolproof and it looks great.

Excellent article! Also- white grease pencil is easier than crayons and less messy than ink

All these years and I have never tried grease pencils. I am going to give it a shot this weekend and I will let you know how it goes.

Can I get a link to the source of those golden dice you mention at the end of your article? They look great inked black and now I must have a set of my own!

Should have had that in the post. I might be updating this post further. Currently trying out some new paint markers to see if they work well.

The dice are Bescon Crystal Clear (Amber) - https://amzn.to/3WPtKmj. I have a bunch of sets from them. The quality of their dice is decent. I have only had to contact them once and they sent a replacement right away after contacting them.

If you get a set and ink them, let me know how they work out for you.

I used to love collecting dice. Now that I'm exclusively a solo gamer, they stay in a drawer and I use electronic apps.

I have tried using apps. Its efficient, convenient, and I like the dependable randomness. Still, I just don't enjoy the hobby as much without the physical roll. Plus, I just enjoy looking at them.

Actually, I do enjoy looking at them too. I suppose although I don't use them, I should try to find a good way to display them.
