That's great how the photographers used it

The observation that Burple stuck around longer in memory than on shelves because of the container is really insightful. Products that give you permision to mess with them after the primary use definitely leave a diferent impression. Had a similar experience with those flat Capri Sun pouches that became makeshift whoopee cushions. Sometimes the best design is accidental play.

That's a good point! I don't remember Burple myself, but I do remember Squeezit, and only because of the bottle

The wacky design really fuels my 90s nostalgia. I even remember saving those little tabs on the top as little spaceships along with my Micro Machines

Oh, man, BURPLE! I nearly forgot this stuff! I never saw the baby-sized ones; that ad I don't recall. But, the original and those paper coupons/ads. Yeah. It was such a flash-in-the-pan. It was like the latest ads for Flex Tape and the like, sounding kind of alien and bizarre. And, like you said, cleaning the accordion folds was a pain and a half. I wondered what happened to the line. I guess adult me could see the problem just waiting to appear.

I was in high school in the Southwest and we didn't have these. I definitely would have bought them.
