Ernest Borgnine's Lost Road Trip: A Glimpse into the Reality Show That Never Was
Those too young to know Borgnine in any other role may remember him as the voice of Mermaid Man from SpongeBob SquarePants!
I was about to make the same comment! Tim Conway did the voice of Mermaid Man's helper, Barnacle Boy!
EEE-VILL!
Ernest Borgnine was great and quite the character!
No matter how small the role, he stood out for me.
I’ll always remember him from these things:
The Dirty Dozen (General Worden)
The Poseidon Adventure (Rogo)
Escape From New York (Cabbie)
Airwolf- TV movie & show (Dominic)
The Simpsons: Boy Scoutz ‘n the Hood (Himself)
Gattaca (Caesar the janitor)
Small Soldiers (voice of Kip Killagin)
(Note: This movie also has Phil Hartman’s final big screen role)
I grew up watching reruns and vhs tapes of McHale's Navy. This year, I saw Marty for the first time. Borgnine was a treasure.
The first time I saw Marty was also after a childhood of seeing him in McHale's Navy. I was blown away.
That would have been an excellent series. Borgnine was always entertaining, no matter what he did.
