Loved this post, and while I only vaguely remembered this band / experience, 1-800 sent me on a wonderfully demented Dog Police, Mothers of Invention, Frank Zappa, Frog Brigade rabbit hole and I'm totally here for it. Or "hear" in this case. Buh-dum-chish.
As soon as I saw the subject line Dog Police I immediately recalled the video in my head. I just watched the video again and impressed with the makeup for the time it was made. I don’t recall the other video 1-800.
Dog Police is a bit catchier, especially with that chorus, but I really think it's the music video that elevates that has locked it into my brain all these years.
