Retroist Lazer Tag Podcast

Retroist Lazer Tag Podcast

This week’s Retroist Podcast is about the classic toy from World’s of Wonder, Lazer Tag. I start the show with a story about how my friends and I spent a good part of an amazing summer playing Lazer Tag together. It is a cherished memory that would not have happened without Lazer Tag.

Then I move onto the toy itself. I discuss the origins of Lazer Tag, the company that made it, the animated series and much more.

This is my final episode of this season. Sadly I did not get to all of the subjects I wanted to cover. I did record them, but I was unhappy with the quality. This episode took three recordings to finally get into a state I am happy with publishing. I hope you enjoy it and will send me suggestions for new shows. This is not a statment on the quality of the show, but more a commentary on my lack of skills as a podcaster.

I am hoping to one day to throw diva-like tantrums and need to boost my ego by a lot more before I can do that. So If you have the time and inclination, please stop by iTunes or wherever you consume podcasts and leave the show a positive review.

Retroist Night Court Podcast

Retroist Night Court Podcast

This week’s Retroist Podcast is about the classic sitcom, Night Court. I begin the show talking about how Harry Anderson inspired my love of magic, even though I am not that good at it.

I was not planning on doing a Night Court podcast this season. It was a subject I tried to record a few years ago, but was unhappy with it. With Harry Anderson passing away recently, I decided to take another pass on this show. I am glad I did, because this show was very meaningful for me during its original airing.

For the bulk of the show I talk about the people in front of and behind the camera, the characters, the show’s reception and much more.

This was a bittersweet show to put together, I hope you enjoy it.

Only a couple of episodes left for this season of the Retroist Podcast. I am already planning the next season. So if you have ideas, feel free to send them to me.

Retroist Gymkata Podcast

Retroist Gymkata Podcast

This week’s Retroist Podcast is about the 1985 cult film classic, “Gymkata” I begin the podcast talking about my first exposure to the film. How I found the concept of combining gymnastics and karate compelling at first, but ultimately came to find this idea strange. Finally I summarize my own martial arts style and how you can master it.

I first recorded this show 3 years ago and never finished editing it since I did not like how it sounded. So I re-recorded it and thought this version was a bit better.

On the show, I discuss the plot of the film before moving onto the people in front of and behind the camera, how well Gymkata was received, and much more.

Only a couple of episodes left for this season of the Retroist Podcast. I am already planning the next season. So if you have ideas, feel free to send them to me.

Retroist Roseanne Podcast

Retroist Roseanne Podcast

This week’s Retroist Podcast is about a show that recently returned after a long break, “Roseanne.” on the Retroist Roseanne Podcast I start off talking about why I watched Roseanne during its first run and why I will be checking out the reboots.

I tried recording this show a few years ago and was never happy with how it turned out. So I did some recording this year to try and do a better job. This episode is the result.

During the show, I talk about the people in front of and behind the camera, the show’s reception, its theme song and much more. Roseanne was a great show, especially during the early seasons. I have my fingers crossed for the reboot, but that is not the main driver for me watching this. Shows I watched with my family as a kid are hard for me to resist. I only wish I could be sitting on or family’s old brown couch while watching the new season of Roseanne with my family by my side.
