Godzilla King of the Monsters Trailer - Godzilla

Godzilla King of the Monsters Trailer Brings The Monster Mayhem!

Friends, I’ve been burning the midnight oil down here in the Vault today and I must apologize about not getting this post out earlier on Monday. By now you’ve probably laid eyes on the second Godzilla King of the Monsters trailer for yourself – it most assuredly looks like Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat and Krampus) has set the table for one epic movie monster showdown. If my jaw kept dropping from the visuals of this particular Godzilla King of the Monsters trailer – I have no doubt I will be continuously blown away when the film hits theaters on May 31st of 2019!

Now to be totally honest, It was Dan Wilder who was kind enough to pay me a visit in the Vault earlier this afternoon and share the news the second Godzilla King of the Monsters trailer had hit the internet. In fact he happened to bring some nice screencaps of the upcoming film to boot. Like this one of King Ghidorah proving that if he decides to move into your neighborhood, your property value is going to tank as well as the fact you can’t really do anything about it, right?

I trust Michael Dougherty to have a few tricks up his sleeve but I think it’s safe to say that the three-headed menace that is King Ghidorah will be Godzilla’s greatest threat. But on the other hand you also have the likes of Rodan – who many times during this second trailer proves that you don’t want to be in the skies…or on the ground even when it is passing by. I want to point out that this is something I am very grateful for being included in the new film, like in the original 1956 film – the speed that Rodan generates creates sonic booms that are powerful enough to destroy cities…and pick up the poor people left in it’s wake!

…you can learn interesting facts about these monsters…these Titans as the trailer points out that Governments of the World call them by. For example, Rodan has a body height of a mere 154 feet with the wing span 871 feet.

While Godzilla is probably humanity’s best hope to survive – at least some of the population when these Titans come to blows. I am going to assume that the appearance of Mothra and the abilities we see on display in the second trailer mean it is acting as a defender against Rodan and possibly King Ghidorah – sorry – good luck with that, Mothra!

Of course we can’t rule out there being additional monsters yet to be revealed – or the fact that we shouldn’t count out Humanity itself being the biggest threat to both Godzilla and the rest of the World. I will point out that after watching the second Godzilla King of the Monsters trailer – I’m not so sure that the characters played by Charles Dance or Ziyi Zhang are working on the side of the angels.

Can Godzilla manage to fight off the threats of King Ghidorah, Rodan…and maybe even Mothra and other unseen forces? We will just have to wait until the end of May next year to find out in this highly anticipated sequel to 2014’s Godzilla!
