Friends, it’s been a couple of months since we’ve last had a Saturday Frights podcast episode, but the Projectionist and myself thought with this one we would tackle the classic Night of the Living Dead. Which made sense to us as we discussed the career and legacy of it’s Director, George A. Romero, in our last episode. We’ve attempted to do something a little different this go around – hopefully laying off on the overlong synopsis – instead sharing with you, our first experiences with 1968’s Night of the Living Dead!
In my personal opinion I believe we have in fact succeeded in delivering a slightly different podcast. While we naturally share some of the interesting facts we’ve discovered about Night of the Living Dead, case in point the original 1969 review by none other than Roger Ebert. The Projectionist and myself decided to not play quite as many clips from the film itself.
One of those reasons is pretty simple, friends. My co-host and I basically feel that anyone that is kind enough to listen to our podcast has probably already seen the film, numerous times. I won’t lie – I fear the information we have to share on the episode, is probably already well known by you fans of Night of the Living Dead. Hopefully though, having said that you will still enjoy what we have delivered.
