MTV’s The Big Picture Checks Out Pet Sematary (1989)

Thanks to Retro Airings we can totally watch this behind the scenes visit to the set of 1989’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. Besides MTV’s The Big Picture Host, Chris Connelly, we also get interviews with Stephen King himself, actors Fred Gwynne (The Munsters) and Dale Midkiff (Time Trax), and even Director Mary Lambert (Madonna’s Like A Virgin).

Truthfully I thought Pet Sematary was one of the better films based on a book by Stephen King, I felt it did a fine job of keeping the tone of the 1983 novel. Plus…do we really have enough horror movies featuring murderous children?

I suppose that even if you didn’t care for the film, surely you can agree that at the very least it gave us the rockin’ 1989 song “Pet Sematary” by the Ramones, right? Not to mention allowing them that awesome appearance on David Letterman?
