Retro Records: The Monster of Frankenstein (1974)

Welcome back friends to a new installment of Retro Records! This time we are going to be sharing the 1974 Power Records presentation of The Monster of Frankenstein, which was basically a reprinting of the first issue of Marvel Comics’ book of the same name.

Published in 1973 and written by Gary Friedrich (Ghost Rider) with artwork by the legendary Mike Ploog (Man-Thing!), the comic series would last 18 issues, the first four comics in the series retold the the Mary Shelley story…but then he was placed in suspended animation so that he like Captain America could be brought into modern times.

With the Power Records offering however a much grimmer fate is in store for the Monster of Frankenstein!
