Over the years on the Retroist we have featured more than just a few of the talented people out there using LEGOs to create some of our favorite vehicles and locations in brick form from all manner of films and television shows.
I think I’m going to have to go out on a limb and say that David Glenn Simmons’ LEGO recreation of a Gunstar from 1984’s The Last Starfighter is one of the most awesome fan made projects I’ve seen.
On his site, David explains that he built the main modules over the course of a month and then it took a few more weeks to get everything situated to where he was pleased with it.
He designed his Gunstar so that it would fit within the LEGO Ultimate Collectors series which is why he included the base with details of it’s key features.
