Listerine has always had interesting Advertising

When you have a product that taste horrible and sometimes even kind of hurts to use, you don’t run from it, you lean into it. This is exactly what Listerine has done over the years and they have done pretty well. The composition and messaging on this ad from the early 1970’s is very well done and is a great example of challenging advertising done well.

  1. Remember when they used Baltimora’s “Tarzan Boy” in its ads? I saw it on Telemundo years ago and it was just sooo strange hearing the ad (though not the song) in Spanish, when I was so familiar with it being in English.
