This video is a great look at the burgeoning world of billboard advertising in the 1940’s, but the real treat starts around the 40 minute mark. There we get a full color tour of the streets and billboards of Chicago. We get glimpses of brightly colored art that must have dazzled, amazed and even annoyed people as they went about their business then and we get it all in beautiful Technicolor.
This is a must watch for advertising junkies.
