Retro Radio Memories Podcast – Episode 028 (Suspense – Sam Spade)

Welcome back friends to the Retro Radio Memories podcast! Each podcast my co-host, the Projectionist and I will briefly discuss a classic old time radio show before sharing said program with you listeners. This week we present an episode from Suspense, featuring that legendary detective Sam Spade in “The Kandy Tooth” from 1948, this is in fact a sequel to the Maltese Falcon.

If you have any suggestions for radio programs you would like for us to cover in the future or comments, email them to me at You can also contact me on Twitter and on Facebook of course. The Projectionist may be reached at if you have any comments or questions for the shadowy cinephile from Haddonfield.

Music on the show was provided by Peachy (the Adolph Deutsch of Wales), if you have musical needs, why not contact Peachy at And be sure to “Like” him on his Facebook page.

If you would like to hear more old time radio adventures of Sam Spade and the Suspense radio program then all you need to do is hop over to the Internet Archive and check out the available episodes that have been uploaded by the Old Time Radio Researchers Group!

A huge thanks again Between the Pages for the heads up and suggestion for sharing this episode!
