Ironing in a bathing suit?

It was 1985 and G.E. Irons were now Black & Decker Irons

I am not sure where to come down on this commercial. Almost everyone I know owns an iron, so they are kind of a big deal, but I cannot think of the last time I gave any deep though to this ubiquitous appliance. Heck, I don’t even know what kind of iron I own. In the mid-eighties, Black & Decker decided to take things up a notch advertising-wise with this commercial that combines cheery eighties imagery with a very memorable and wordy song about their irons.

It almost makes me want to go in the room and see what kind of iron I own. Almost…

    I can’t tell if I remember that jingle specifically, or just that everything sounded like that in the 80s.
