Pulled from an early 1980s magazine ad, something about this entire scene is awkward, but I would like to focus your attention on this tree. I am not sure if it is the base of the tree being too tall or the tree itself being too small or both, but neither of those things help. I wonder if they just lofted a standard Christmas tree or cleared the branches off the trunk of a tall tree. Either way, I am glad this is not a trend that caught on.
Have you ever had a Christmas tree that you could actually sit under? Almost every tree my family has ever owned was almost too squat. Sometime we couldn’t even fit anything under there.
