The ACM (Air Controlled Machine) Jeep

This commercial always confused me when I was younger because of the quick cutting I wasn’t sure at first if this was a portable toy that I rolled or some sort thing I rode. Sadly it was not an air powered jeep I could cruise around the neighborhood in, but it did make for a really cool commercial.

In addition to the jeep they also had a dune buggy version of the toy. As with all toys that are control by wire, the fun of controlling it really ends when you get tired of chasing your toy around.

  1. I vaguely remember this, but I could see how it would be confusing :)

Why was all the cool tech in toys from the 80s? Like talking Cabbage Patch Dolls: they spoke to each other!
