Though I have seen some since, I can’t honestly say I never ran across an Astrocade console in my youth. Of course one of the reasons might have been that Bally who originally offered it as the Bally Professional Arcade, didn’t have a window open very long before deciding to quit the home market, but it was apparently re-released by a third party who changed the console’s name from the then Bally Computer System to the Astrocade.

Fun commercial! Somehow, I’ve still never seen one of these working. I was under the mistaken impression that it was less powerful than the 2600 (similar to the Odyssey). Clearly, I was wrong.
Way to go Vic! I have to get one of these in my collection now. Wife is not gonna be happy…
