Charles Frederick “Skip” Stephenson, who passed away in 1992, was an actor/comedian who was probably best know for his work on as the co-host of NBC’s Real People. What you might not know is that Skip also appeared as a spokesman for the Krystal restaurant chain in the early 1980s.
We did not have Krystal in our area, but I always heard tell that it was similar to White Castle. A fact that I would verify as I have traveled as an adult.
I was a pretty big Skip fan, so this commercial would have been pretty effective if they ever opened a Krystal in suburban New Jersey in the 1980s.
