Introducing She-Ra, He-Man’s SENSATIONAL Twin Sister!

She-Ra

I was browsing through an old folder of files recently and found a 6-page She-Ra Princess of Power PDF, detailing the then-upcoming series and highlighting the opportunities available to retailers who supported the new show.

Page 2 (below) announces a major licensing program supported by 65 half-hour TV shows from Filmation, a line of action figures from Mattel and a substantial advertising campaign – the same ingredients that made Masters of the Universe a worldwide success!

The remainder of the pages have character line art, including the Crystal Castle. These make excellent references for anyone who is interested in drawing the characters.

Whilst I love the Masters of the Universe show, She-Ra didn’t appeal to me. It was clearly aimed at the fairer sex and, other than my interest in their shared universe, I can’t recall too much about the stories or characters.

Despite my general ignorance of the show, the fan-art for the Princess of Power, her friends and her enemies, is almost always exceptional. Check out the She-Ra art at my Tumblr blog to see what I mean :- The 80’s Cartoon Fan-art Blog – She-Ra edition.

  1. Spottedfeather says:

You HAVE to post this She-Ra pdf somewhere and post a link here. I’d love to see it.

  2. Really cool pdf! I’ve been meaning to comment on this article ever since JC told me about it. I am a huge She-Ra fan. It’s a little sad really. lol But if you ever get the chance, I say give those old cartoon episodes a chance. They are really good stuff that has the right ingredients for the perfect story. Keep up the fun articles, I enjoy checking them out.

  3. It is a cool PDF to find in my collection of files, and I have no idea how I came across it! This won’t be last post about The Princess of Power as I have since found more interesting items on old backup hard drives that I’ll also be posting here :)
