This video features a fan made classic Star Trek episode created on a Commodore 64 using the machine’s built-in character graphics. It was written in BASIC, then recorded to videotape where the soundtrack was added. The pacing and sound could use some tweaks, but this is exactly the type of computer project I would have gotten excited about as a kid.

That was incredible. I’d love to see the code for that. My goodness that must have required many, many, MANY hours of typing, tweaking, and typing some more. I may have to make contact with this James Gaither.
