Welcome back friends to Retro Radio Memories! For your listening pleasure today we have an episode from the classic Suspense Radio Show series entitled “The Night Man” that originally aired back on October 26, 1944 on the CBS Radio Network.

Today’s episode deals with a young woman named Miss Rhodes, played by Virginia Bruce (Jane Eyre, The Invisible Woman), and she has a dilemma on her hands to say the least. She is visiting the Warden of a prison to inquire about an inmate named Tom Nixon, who is supposedly incarcerated at the institution. I say supposedly because Miss Rhodes is afraid for her life, you see she testified against the man as he was accused of killing her Mother…but if Tom Nixon is safely behind bars at the prison why does the young woman keep seeing him working the elevator in her building?

So turn down the lights, grab your favorite beverage and travel back with Retro Radio Memories as we pay a call on the Night Man!
