Saturday Frights Podcast – Episode 007 (Tales From The Crypt’s Carrion Death)

Welcome back friends to the Saturday Frights Podcast! Each week my co-host, the Projectionist, and I will discuss a particular horror movie or horror themed TV episode from the Retroist Vault and this time we chose an episode from the third season of Tales From the Crypt entitled “Carrion Death”. We do our best to talk in detail about the synopsis of the episode as well as some of the more notable actors and crew behind the camera. The Projectionist has once again brought along a few vintage Drive-In movie ads and we have listener mail!

If you have any suggestions for topics you would like for us to cover in the future or comments, email them to me at VicSage@Retroist.Com. You can also follow me on Twitter and on Facebook. The Projectionist may be reached at if you have any comments or questions for the shadowy cinephile from Haddonfield.

Music on the show was provided by Peachy (the Danny Elfman of Wales), if you have musical needs, why not contact Peachy at And “like” him on his Facebook Page.

You can find Saturday Frights on Facebook now so hop on over and get your daily retro horror fix!

  1. Have I mentioned how grateful I am to have you and The Projectionist scare up some spooky media reminiscences every weekend, Vic?

    Well, I’m doing so now.
The very nature of spooky stories is how the telling of the tale uneases us gradually, as it drags us down a dark corridor of unsettling realizations.

Wouldn’t miss the dragging (and screaming).
Nor the drive-in ads, cuz that’s the bloody cherry on top of the scrumptious gooey sundae.

  2. Atari Adventure Square, my friend, thank you so very much for your kind words. I’ll make sure that the Projectionist knows as well! It’s an honor to be able to do the podcast but we are so humbled that so many people have enjoyed the show. Thank you again. :)
