Retro Radio Memories: Zorro – “An Unexpected Return” (1957)

Retro Radio Memories 1
Welcome friends to another installment of Retro Radio Memories! This week we have the first chapter from the Zorro radio series from back in 1957, which in fact was just the Walt Disney LP for the first three episodes. It then became The Adventures of Zorro and those were the serialized story The Curse of Capistrano by Johnston McCulley, sadly only a few of those episodes are still in existence.

For this first chapter of the Zorro radio show entitled “An Unexpected Return” we have none other than Guy Williams (Zorro, Lost in Space) lending his voice to his television role of Don Diego and Zorro, Henry Calvin as the bumbling Sergeant Garcia, and Jimmie Dodd (The Mickey Mouse Club) as Padre Felipe! So why not take about 11 minutes for yourself and join us as we return to those thrilling days in the pueblos of Los Angeles, California when Zorro would ride throughout the night protecting the weak against cruel tyrants.
