Every year when I was growing up, around Christmas time, my Grandmother would always reserve the TV to watch Lawrence Welk. This was not daily watching in our house and I was not sure what to make of it, but my Grandmother seemed delighted. So it became a yearly thing.
Welk is no longer on the TV, but the memories remain and I continue to check it out this time of year online. It is not TV for everyone, but it is certainly unlike anything you will see on TV nowadays.
