Do You Remember When George Clooney Let Product Placement Get Out of Control…And Then Cowboys And Ninjas Started Fighting?

Well, if you don’t recall when George Clooney let product placement get out of control…and then cowboys and ninjas started fighting each other…you haven’t had the ‘pleasure’ of seeing 1988’s Return of the Killer Tomatoes!

Making a sequel to 1978’s cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes might very well have seemed like a good idea at the time, especially for what turned out to be a straight to video production featuring the likes of George Clooney, John Astin, Anthony Starke, and Karen M. Waldron. I guess even a low budget sequel needs sponsorship, thankfully so many corporations were glad to lend their products for the film.

Now don’t get me wrong, Return of the Killer Tomatoes is a fun cult film in all honesty…but the greatest thing about it is that it helped spawn the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes animated TV series on Fox Kids back on September 8, 1990.
