Alan Young in a Commercial for Planters’ Snacks in Cans

I am always happy to see Alan Young in anything. Ever since first seeing him on Mr. Ed as a kid, I have been a fan. The thing is, they kind of waste his full potential in this commercial by not having him talk at all. Why does Uncle Leonard need to be so quiet and why is Uncle to all these kids? How many sister and brothers does he have?

This makes 3 uncles that I know Young has played. He was Uncle Leonard in this commercial. In 1994 he was in Beverly Hills Cop III where he played the role of Uncle Dave Thornton, the Walt Disney-esque founder of the fictional theme park Wonderworld. And most importantly, since 1983, he has been the voice of “Uncle” Scrooge McDuck.
