The Electric Grandmother

On January 17, 1982, The Electric Grandmother aired on NBC. It was a produced as a 60-minute special and was based on the Ray Bradbury short story “I Sing the Body Electric”, which had been previously adapted into a pretty decent episode of the original Twilight Zone. The Electric Grandmother starred Maureen Stapleton was directed by Noel Black.

This was shown on VHS in my school a few times when I was a kid and I remember it being on the shelf of our video store and I would throw it on from time to time. Sadly that video tape is now pretty difficult to get a hold of, but if you are a fan, you need not worry. You can watch the special in its entirety online.

I want to say that this was aired in reruns on HBO because I watched it all the time. I loved the Electric Grandmother.

just did a quick imdb search, did not realize at the time that the older brother was the older brother in ET.
