The Beach Boys Perform Monster Mash

The Beach Boys became famous for their songs about cars, surfin’, and girls, but in 1964 the group covered a couple of novelty hits from 1962, Bobby “Boris” Pickett’s “Monster Mash” and “Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow” by the Rivingtons (who quickly followed this song up with “The Bird’s the Word”). The Beach Boys included cover versions of these two songs on their 1964 live album “Beach Boys Concert.” Here they are performing them live.
