“Trick or Treat”
Gideon Hackles (Barnard Hughes) is a miser that finds comfort in the tormenting the people of in his town, especially on Halloween. You see he owns almost everyone and everything but promises that if the children of the town come up to his house on Halloween and search for their parents IOUs and the kids find them…all their debts will be forgiven. Gideon though has made sure to wire up his house with fake creatures of the night and does his very best to send each child screaming from his home. But there is one thing that tricksters should remember on Halloween and that is to be equally giving of their treats…or perhaps the spirits of Halloween will pay a visit for a trick of their own.
Mr. Killup (Roy Poole) is an aging bitter man who of the many things he despises ranks Halloween at the top of the list. He refuses to participate in the Holiday by giving candy to the trick or treaters that visit his house every year and becomes even angrier when they repay him in kind with a trick, normally by soaping his windows or throwing toilet paper up in the limbs of his trees…to which his son, Michael, has to clean up. Even after his Son provides candy for his Father to hand out to the trick or treaters the old man refuses to give it out. Which is a very bad mistake when a goblin comes to the door and takes offense at being brushed off.
