Here is an interesting retro horror find. Thanks to Alessio Bogani we have this almost 25 minute special promotional piece hosted by Mick Garris (The Stand, Masters of Horror) featuring a roundtable discussion with John Landis (An American Werewolf In London), John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing), and David Cronenberg (Scanners, The Fly).
What information I’ve been able to find actually comes from a YouTube channel. Mick Garris was working at Universal Studios in 1982 as a marketing specialist for the studio’s Horror and Sci-Fi releases. He produced this video himself and invited the directors who were working on projects with Universal Studios at the time. Mick Garris would resurrect this idea with Fearnet’s Post Mortem a web series where he has interviewed the likes of Frank Darabont, Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter, Rick Baker, Roger Corman, John Landis, and Rob Zombie to name a few.
