E.T Costumes abounded during the Halloween of 1983

I never went as E.T on Halloween, but it does seem like it was a great idea for a costume in 1983. Unfortunately for those who did decide to be E.T, they were not alone as you can see in this picture taken at Reber Academy in Vineland, NJ. They have not one, not two, but THREE E.Ts in this photo alone. Who knows how many are lurking just out of frame?

I would also like to bring some attention to the paper Ms. Pac-Man costume that lurks between two of the E.Ts. The wearer of the costume looks very bored or maybe she is just thinking, “I am glad I didn’t wear that E.T costume.”
