Dukes of Hazzard Slot Car Racing Set from Ideal

My cousin has this racing set when we were younger. We started out trying to race each other on it, but we find it more difficult to just pull of the jump. So instead of racing, we would just take turns trying to successfully pull of the jump. We could do this type of thing for hours and would fill up notebooks trying to tally up our successes and failures over the course of a weekend. My cousin usually came out victorious.

Enjoy the commercial, but keep watching for commercial number two. it is not Dukes of Hazzard-related, but it may be one of the greatest car racing concepts I have ever seen.

  1. I had the Dukes racing set as a kid. My cousin accidentally stepped on Roscoe’s car, but we were able to find a replacement at a store. My dad build a platform for it that was under this city platform he made for my Hot Wheels/Matchbox/similar cars. We only marked buildings off with tape because I didn’t have a lot of toy car playsets.
