Godzooky Statue

“Up from the depths,
Thirty stories high,
Breathing fire,
His head in the sky,
And Godzooky …”

Whether you loved him or hated him, Godzooky was a part of the Godzilla cartoon series from the 1980s. Godzooky (also sometimes spelled “Godzuki” or “Godzookie”) was voiced by the late, great Don Messick, who also provided the voice for such classic characters as Scooby-Doo, Astro from the Jetsons, and Papa Smurf in the Smurfs.

I recently ran across this Godzooky statue at the mall. Surprisingly it wasn’t vintage — it was brand new! I do not own it yet but I have been dreaming about returning and purchasing it.
