Amazing Early Computer Animation from 1979, “The Compleat Angler”


This brilliant piece of early computer animation was made by Turner Whitted back in the late seventies at Bell Labs in Holmdel, NJ. Whitted is a trailblazer in the field and was the first to apply the concept of ray-tracing to global illumination in computer graphics. The results are very impressive.
