Ghosts ‘N Goblins Poster

I am not sure why Ghosts ‘N Goblins never developed into a full blow franchise. It has a great mix of art direction, gameplay and humor that I think would work well even on today’s consoles.

These games were extremely hard to beat. Cool to look at, especially the SNES version. It had great music and graphics. They tried to do a spinoff series with Maximo, but it was never finished. It only had two entries, and then the studio that made them closed up due to poor sales. Ultimate Ghouls n Ghosts for PSP was good, but again, too hard. It’s difficult to finish a game when you only have two hits before dying. Arthur could have used a health meter or something. I agree, though, it’s too bad they couldn’t have made any newer games or merchandise.
