Wishbone – The Little Dog with the Big Imagination

Wishbone was a great show that ran from 1995-1998. It featured a dog named Wishbone who could magically enter into scenes from great literature and takes on the guise of a character. What makes it so awesome is that he is a dog playing those characters and no one questions it. So in the Tom Sawyer episode a dog is Tom Sawyer and everyone is cool with that. I have no idea why this show is not more beloved or why it only lasted for 3 seasons.

It still airs on some PBS stations, so check your local listings. This is timeless TV, so don’t worry that it is from a decade and half ago.
