I look at a lot of old commercials every week. More than the average person should. Usually I just get a nice chuckle and a memory jog from seeing an old product but occasionally I am left wondering, “why do I remember this product?” I have been wondering that about this commercial for Jill the talking Doll, ever since I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago. How do I know I remember it, because as soon as I saw her I remembered the chorus to the song. It just goes to show that the power of the earworm can make even a product you would find terrifying in real life, positively memorable.
She’s a lot like me you know…
