These ain’t your daddy’s comic books, fanboy! This is DC Comics in the 1990s!!

comics-on-parade

I went through a bit of a comic book drought in the 1990s. I found that after years of collecting I was losing interest in a world of comic excess and variants. This commercial for “Comic on Parade” from the 1990s pretty much captures what I did not love about that speed bump in my comic history. At the same time, I gotta say, I love this commercial.

At the end their is also a Marvel version of the commercial, but it lacks the zazz of the DC one.

Yeah, I quot comics around the mid-90’s as well.

Terrible time. but from what I’ve seen, it hasn’t gotten much better.
