Clips of 1950s Suburban New Jersey

This set of clips is pretty short, but it packs a lot of punch. I was surprised how similar all the homes looked to the ones I grew up with (I guess not much changes on the outside of homes) and it is nice to see packed and flourishing down towns being utilized in the Garden State. Our downtown was pretty heavily used and only got less so when a mall and some superstores showed up in town. I ran to those malls, but in retrospect they added nothing to the town itself and they were a real pain to get to unless you owned a car.

Wait for the end of this video to see a surprisingly “grabby” mail man pawing at the young girls as he passes. I am pretty sure that would not fly nowadays.
